Over the course of a dozen years and numerous bestselling albums, the virtuoso flamenco guitarist has explored the outer limits of popular music, breaking new ground with each successive recording. In the past, Cook has blended African percussion, Cajun accordion, classical cello and pop flamenco style to create a thrilling, multi-textured global hybrid. And he's travelled far afield - from London to Cairo - to collaborate with some of the world's best musicians. For Frontiers, his seventh studio album, Cook and his wife moved to Seville, Spain to be a part of the mecca of the flamenco music scene with astounding results. Since his career began, Cook has sold more than one million albums worldwide and won a Juno award.

The Sweetest Soil. An Evening with the Jury's Picks. Niagara's fruitful pastures have delivered once again! Centre for the Arts presents the second annual In The Soil: Niagara's Homegrown Arts Festival Jury Picks Showcase. Last year, 70 artists were featured in a one-week festival in venues throughout downtown St. Catharines and at a special Centre for the Arts showcase of the most innovative music, theatre and dance. Thanks to a growing partnership between Centre for the Arts, Suitcase in Point Theatre Company, Pulse Niagara, Yummy Recordings and four other partners, In The Soil will be harvesting the unique talents of Niagara's performing artists, visual artists and filmmakers once again! With all this talent in your own backyard, you will be left asking, is there something In The Soil?
